How charging time and cost are estimated
To fill a battery you need roughly its capacity in kWh (allowing for the charge level you start and finish at). Divide that energy by the charger’s power in kW and you get the charging time; multiply the energy by your price per kWh and you get the cost. Real charging is a little slower as the battery fills and in cold weather, so treat the figures as a close estimate. Running a workshop as well? Work out your cost per mile or your garage labour rate.
